So, Barely Lethal is barely Watchable as Paul would say. In a review session I came across.
Let
me quote from one I love by Hekiv from Sweden.
“If you aren't into
the whole "this is about a serious topic and yet it's funny" then
this isn't the movie for you. This is another one of these typical teenage
movies where you would think it's a Disney movie if it wasn't for all the
swearing and sexual innuendos.
However, there is no real action in this movie, even if it's about assassins. It's more about a girl trying to be normal. Like a lot of other teen movies.

I do wonder, as do
those who enjoyed this movie and waited the extra minute and a half to see the
ending scene after the credits, if there will be a sequel? One where Meghan
goes to college, and has to fight her nemesis again? It would be a chance for
the moviemakers to have a new chance. The sequel can be better than the first
one. I don't know any movie series where that's true, but I believe in optimism.”
In my own words, it was quite entertaining. Not
too much of expectations though. If you are in the high spirit for some action
films, this isn’t it. A little bit of the “Naked weapon” kinda story where they
recruit very young girls and get them to be trained assassins. Buh trust me,
it’s nothing even close. The twist is the teenage Fantasy as well as the urge
to fit into the peer pressure. Quite entertaining.
Picture quality is sweet. Not too much special
effect.
Would give it a 4. Don’t forget the voting is
still on for “The movie of the week”. Push your favourite movie to the top.
