ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Angelique Kidjo Leads Cast Of Kunle Afolayan’s New Film

With much anticipation, I am pleased to write this:
Air France brand ambassador and award winning director of hit movies including ‘October 1′, Kunle Afolayan, has unveiled the cast and crew of his highly anticipated new film, The CEO. Afolayan brushed aside recent rough experiences with pirates to become the face of Air France in Nigeria; and continued his winning streak by unveiling the cast and crew of his new project at a well-attended media parley, held at the Inagbe Beach Resort in Lagos.
Grammy award-winning singer, Angelique Kidjo, takes the lead and will feature alongside other top stars including: Kemi Lala-Akindoju (Nigeria), Fatim Layachi (Morocco), Aurelie Elia (Cote d’Voire), Wale Ojo (Nigeria), Jimmy Jean-Louis (Haiti/US), Nicholas Panagiotopoulos and Peter King (Kenya).
The event was attended by veteran directors including Tunde Kelani, Tade Ogidan and Lola Maja. Observers at the unveiling commended Afolayan’s giant stride in bringing talents from several African countries together, in the first arrangement of its kind. Many noted that the move is a way of appreciating the rich cultures and values available across Africa. See more photos.

SYNOPSIS
The CEO tells the story of TransWire Communications, a global phone network with major operations in Nigeria. The Global Chairman has decided to send five nominees among his top-level staff on a Leadership course in order to find the new CEO of Nigeria, with unexpected consequences.
According to Afolayan, one major aim of the movie is to break boundaries and make inroads into distribution channels in several countries on the continent, and as such it is African United for the upcoming film.
The CEO is supported by Adron Homes and Properties, Africa Magic and Inagbe Resort; and is backed by an official partnership with Air France.

According to daily times.
